Director – Dan Rolfe
“Hi, my name is Dan Rolfe. I have been working with children and young people internationally for over 15 years, and specifically in Australia since 2011.
I have a Diploma of Children’s Service and some of my experiences have included running Canberra based OSHC programs, working with children in inner city projects in New York, teaching English as a second language in Hong Kong and running lifestyle workshops for children and young people in youth justice centres.
I have an open-door policy and am committed to providing a high quality, educational based programs designed to enhance and develop children’s natural talents, abilities and skills.
On my days off, I enjoy spending time with my young family and running around after my daughter’s extracurricular activities.”
Education Leader and Assistant Director – Leon Mason
“I began working in Out of School Hours Care in 2012 and have since then thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities to provide guidance and support to learning and well being as an Educational Leader, as well as be inspired by the creativity shown by students that we work with each day.
What brought me to Aranda Afters was the excitement to build successful, supportive and collaborative relationships with our students and families and the opportunity to support the learning and development of a strong and enthusiastic Educator Team.”
Program Coordinator – Sam Hoppitt
“I first joined childcare in 2010 and then became an Aranda team member in 2013. After a year long absence in London I am excited to be part of such an amazing team again.
Coming back as a Program Coordinator has got me excited about building a fun new program that incorporates inclusion, enjoyment and education =)”
Program Coordinator – Brooke Jarman
“I’ve been working in Childcare since 2014 where I began in Early Childcare centres and I have a Diploma of Education and Care from Optimum Training Services.
I look forward to expanding my skill set with an older group of children while building positive relationships with our children, families and community.”

Shavaun and Caterina Pangallo – Term 3 2020
Term 3 sees a rare tie for Staff Star! Congratulations to both Shavaun and Caterina! Caterina and Shavaun are absolutely amazing team members and have consistently supported and improved our after school and vacation care programs. Caterina and Shavaun are both involved in the Aranda Afters Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) squad, that aims to produce and publish a form reconciliation statement to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and a plan of action for the future.
Both stepped up during our July vacation care and displayed leadership, assertiveness and positivity during challenging times throughout the program. Thank you Cat and Shavaun!
Alex Howitt – Term 2 2020
Our Staff Star for the end of Term 2 goes to Alex Howitt! Alex is one of our newer educators and has approached the position with great enthusiasm and positive energy. Alex can often be found on the basketball court leading active games, which our active community of students certainly appreciate! Always with a smile and good cheer, Alex is consistently helps keep our afternoons running smoothly! Thank you Alex and keep up the amazing job!
